_x000D_ The family of Radiocommunication Service Monitors CMS comprises two models. These radio testers allow transmitter, receiver and duplex measurements to be performed on mobile radios, base stations or RF modules. The CMS family monitors are ideal radio testers for service, maintenance and test departments._x000D_ CMS – a test set replacing many individual measuring instruments_x000D_ Due to the comprehensive standard configuration of the individual models and the optional extensions tailored to specific applications, external measuring instruments in addition to the CMS are not required._x000D_ Overview of models:_x000D_ Basic features:_x000D_ _x000D_ Transmitter and receiver testing_x000D_ Spectrum monitor_x000D_ Fully automatic testing_x000D_ SSB test_x000D_ _x000D_ CMS57 – the specialist for avionics_x000D_ Basic features additionally with:_x000D_ _x000D_ VOR/ILS signal generator_x000D_ _x000D_ Overview of configurations (model-dependent or optional)_x000D_ Signal sources_x000D_ _x000D_ RF synthesizer from 0.4 to 1000 MHz, resolution 10 Hz, with AM, FM, φM and multitone modulation capabilities_x000D_ Two independent modulation generators, from 20 Hz to 30 kHz each, resolution 0.1 Hz_x000D_ Selective-call encoder to all standards (also user-programmable)_x000D_ CDCSS coder_x000D_ DTMF coder_x000D_ 10 MHz reference frequency input/output_x000D_ VOR/ILS signal generator_x000D_ Measuring facilities_x000D_ RF frequency counter, RF frequency-offset counter_x000D_ Power meter from 5 mW to 100 W_x000D_ Selective RF power meter down to -100 dBm_x000D_ RF spectrum monitor with wide dynamic range and filters which also allow modulation analysis (AM, FM, SSB)_x000D_ Tracking generator in frequency range from 400 kHz to 1000 MHz_x000D_ Adjacent-channel power meter with standard ETSI filters_x000D_ Modulation meter for AM, FM and jM; weighting: +PK, -PK, PK HOLD, PK/2, RMS, RMS2_x000D_ Duplex modulation meter for duplex spacings of any size_x000D_ AF voltmeter with peak and true RMS weighting_x000D_ SINAD meter with variable test frequency_x000D_ S/N meter_x000D_ Distortion meter with variable test frequency_x000D_ AF frequency counter with period and gate-time counting_x000D_ Selective-call decoder for all standards (also user-programmable)_x000D_ DTMF decoder_x000D_ CDCSS decoder_x000D_ Oscilloscope_x000D_ DC ammeter/voltmeter_x000D_ Transient recorder for analysis of power and frequency transients_x000D_ Cable fault test_x000D_ Filters_x000D_ CCITT or C-message filters for weighting to relevant standards_x000D_ Continuously tunable bandpass filter from 50 Hz to 5 kHz with high skirt selectivity for selective modulation and AF measurement_x000D_ Continuously tunable notch filter from 100 Hz to 5 kHz for signal suppression_x000D_ Highpass and lowpass filters for band limiting and measurement of subaudio tones_x000D_ Other facilities_x000D_ Second RF input with high sensitivity for off-air measurements, can be used independently for module testing_x000D_ Built-in 600 Ω AF transformers for modulation generator and AF voltmeter_x000D_ Connector for battery (11 V to 32 V)_x000D_ 13 dBm RF output for off-air measurements_x000D_ Memory for storing complete instrument setups_x000D_ _x000D_ Automatic tests_x000D_ Automatic test routines are indispensable for high throughput and reproducible results in service and production: in the learn mode, the Radiocommunication Service Monitor CMS stores all manual settings and measurements and produces from them ready-to-start automatic test routines. The user need not have any programming knowledge or learn equipment-specific command sets._x000D_ Tolerances, comments and conditions (loops, jumps, queries and control commands) can additionally be inserted into the test routines. Programs can also be activated directly from the memory card. The test report format may be user-specified and can be clearly structured by transferring control characters to the printer, such as blank line, paragraph and bold-face._x000D_
